Wagner's Parsifal
Abigail Dyer's excellent modern translation of Wagner's own libretto for his opera Parsifal, is now available on the website here.
Wagner's libretto is freely based on Wolfram von Eschenbach's poem Parzival, and Chretien de Troyes' romance Perceval, from which the former was derived, which give differing accounts of the story of the Arthurian knight and his encounter with the Holy Grail.
Our translation of Wolfram's Parzival can be found on the website here.
